Spermidine supplements

Spermidine is naturally found in our body. In fact, it’s in every single cell in the human body. In every living organism, actually. Read more about the chemical here, what its function is in our body, and how you can easily order spermidine supplements.

What exactly is spermidine?

Spermidine is a naturally existing compound already present in our body. It belongs to a group of molecules known as polyamines. Spermidine is also found in various foods, especially in grains. Consider wheat germs, soy beans, and buckwheat, for example. In recent years the concentration of spermidine in grains is decreasing due to soil impoverishment. Because of this, it’s difficult to estimate how much spermidine you’re really ingesting.

Polyamines, like spermidine, are involved in various biochemical processes in our body. They work inside cells, which continually complete different processes in our body. Polyamines can also influence certain enzymes and proteins in the body.

What does spermidine do in the body?

Sadly, because of strict EU laws we can only give limited information about the working of many natural products. Only certain claims that are in the EU database are allowed to be stated. Because of this, we can’t share the results of all scientific research.

Spermidine supplements

When choosing a spermidine supplement, there are a few points to pay attention to.

  • Are the supplements natural or synthetic? Preferably, you choose a natural spermidine supplement. Natural spermidine supplements are easy to absorb by the body, as opposed to the synthetic variant. Always make sure to check if the supplement is natural. Naturally, this is the case with our supplements.
  • Check whether the source of the supplement is known. This is not always the case, but it’s important for, for example, allergy information. Spermidine supplements based on wheat germ powder aren’t gluten free, but those based on soy or buckwheat usually are.
  • Check the packaging. This lets you see if you’re dealing with synthetic spermidine after all, and which filler material and flavouring has been added. Supplements with a spermidine count over 6 mg could be synthetic. Also pay attention to the mention of trihydrochloride on the ingredient list, which could indicate the synthetic form of spermidine.
  • Quality and reliability. Choose a trustworthy brand of fabricant of the spermidine supplement.
  • Check the recommended dose and user instructions on the package of the supplement. Make sure that the dose is appropriate for your specific needs and follow the recommendations closely.
